Developing your brand image on social media

When starting your own business or blog, creating a strong brand image is essential so that the people out there know who you are and what your brand stands for. Social media is one of the most powerful ways to building your brand and become known in your industry, as it has become a very important part of our daily lives.

    1) Choice of platforms

First of all, the choice of right platforms is crucial. Always choose social networks where your target audience plays.

Having surpassed one billion registered accounts, Facebook is the largest social network in the world and with that huge exposure, great to promote brand awareness.

While Instagram and Pinterest are both go-to platforms for visually driven brands, Instagram reaches a younger audience, whereas Pinterest is excellent to reach women.

Google+ might not be the first social platform you’d think of promoting your brand on, as it seems to be far behind other, more popular networks, but considering SEO and search engine ranks, it might be a really helpful approach.

    2) Leverage influencers

Connecting with your influencers is extremely important if you have a relatively unknown brand. They have already built an audience so engage and interact with them, as it will be a much easier and faster approach to moving forward.

    3) Make your content sharable

That you put out valuable content is one thing, but think of making it as easy as possible for your audience to share and interact with you and your content. Include buttons and features to facilitate social sharing as it increases your exposure without much effort. Of course, your content has to be valuable for your audience to share.

    4) Consistency rules

Be consistent – remember it’s a perpetual commitment to be present on social platforms. If you’re not as active as your target audience expects you to be, they might soon lose interest and turn their back on your brand.
